Gift cards are not like regular products in Shopify and there is a separate path for creating them. You can add a new gift card product or update an existing one from the Gift cards page of your Shopify admin.
- Gift cards will be automatically fulfilled and emailed to your customer when they complete the order.
- Gift card SKUs will not be created in MasonHub's OMS.
Before you get started, read through the Shopify Help Center documentation on gift cards. Here are a couple of helpful links:
The end result should be a product where each variant's SKU and Barcode are blank and Track Quantity is not checked.
Location name can be MasonHub Rancho Cucamonga, but MasonHub is not managing inventory for these variants since they are virtual gift cards and inventory is not actually tracked.
If you're on the MasonHub Shopify Fulfillment Order integration path, Settings > Checkout > Order Processing should have Automatically fulfill the order's line items selected.
This means when the order is placed, the Gift Card will be fulfilled and an email sent to the customer. MasonHub will receive a fulfillment request for any other items on the customer's order.
If you're on the MasonHub Shopify Webhook Integration, Settings > Checkout > Order Processing should have Automatically fulfill only the gift cards of the order selected.
This means when the order is placed, the Gift Card will be fulfilled and an email sent to the customer. MasonHub will pull the Shopify order and create an order in our OMS for any other items assigned to be fulfilled by MasonHub.
