Goal: More flexibility in which Shopify products sync to MasonHub.
What’s Changing?
Starting October 21, 2026, the MasonHub Shopify app syncs products with an Unlisted status, just like Active products. No tag or extra setup is needed.
What Is an Unlisted Product?
Unlisted is a Shopify product status that hides products from store search and collections, all sales channels, internet searches and Shopify Catalog, while still allowing access via a direct URL. It’s commonly used for private sales, warranties, add-ons, or “free gift with purchase” items you don’t want discovered or used outside their intended purpose. shopifyshopify
Why This Matters
- Orders ship without delays: An unlisted product stays fully purchasable through its direct URL. Syncing means the SKUs are already in the OMS when those orders come in. craftshift
- Inbound is ready: You can add Unlisted SKUs to ASNs so we can receive and shelf your inventory, same as Active products.
How to Use It
- In Shopify: Go to Products and open the product.
- Set the Status: Change Product status to Unlisted.
- Save: The MasonHub app will create or update the corresponding SKUs in our OMS.
Sync Behavior by Status
| Shopify Status | Syncs to MasonHub? |
|---|---|
| Active | Yes, automatically |
| Unlisted | Yes, automatically (starting Oct 21, 2026) |
| Draft | Only with the sync_draft tag |
| Archived | No |
What About Draft Products?
Nothing changes for Draft products. They still need the sync_draft tag to sync. See Pro-Tip: Syncing Draft Products with the “sync_draft” Tag for details.
Heads up: Unlisted products can still be purchased by anyone with the direct link. If a product shouldn’t be sellable yet but you need SKUs in the OMS for an inbound, keep it in Draft and use the sync_draft tag instead.
