MasonHub’s OMS will only accept orders when there is enough Current Sellable inventory. This can include a mix of available and oversellable units when you have inventory in stock and an Oversell Policy in place.
MasonHub will first allocate orders to the available units. Any remaining units on the order will be allocated to oversellable units.
MasonHub’s OMS will not split the shipment, unless your account is set up to automatically split backorders. Learn more about order splitting here. If automatic order splitting is not turned on, the entire order will be in backordered status and will ship immediately when inventory for the backordered SKU is in stock.
For example:
- You have 2 units in available status and 100 units in oversellable status.
- A customer places an order for 3 units of the SKU.
- Only the 2 available units are allocated. The other 1 unit is backordered. Your available is now 0 and your oversellable is now 99.
The order shows you the line items for the SKU and Quantity the customer ordered. Below it you’ll see the backordered SKU, how many were ordered, and how many were available and allocated.
On the All SKUs page, you’ll see your new inventory totals.
