Packing slips are not required, but can be added to your shipments upon request. Our default template accommodates your company's logo, the customer and order details, and any gift messages the customer added, if applicable. If you have other special requests or marketing needs, work with your MasonHub Account Manager to discuss feasibility and pricing. Your packing slip details, following the below guidelines, should be submitted to MasonHub Support.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you use Shopify and want to include customer gift messages, you must make sure that no other app installed in your store is using the Notes field. Shopify saves customer gift messages in the Notes section of the order, and we have no way of differentiating a customer gift message from any other note added by a third-party app. However, we have an exception for Loop Returns exchanges. Our app will exclude the notes when an order is created through Loop Returns as an exchange. For other apps that may enter data into the Notes field, you will not be able to use the gift messages feature since our system will print those notes on the pack slip or as a gift message. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more information or questions. |
Benefits
Default Packing Slip
The default MasonHub packing slip accommodates your company's logo, the customer and order details, and any gift messages the customer added, if applicable.
Custom Packing Slip
Keep the following in mind if designing your own packing slip:
Requirements
- Black & white
- Printed on 8.5x11" paper
- Include essential order information
- Order ID
- Customer information
- Order dates
- Ship method
- Provide custom font, if using one
- Due to licensing requirements, custom fonts may incur an additional fee
Recommendations
- Avoid watermarks
- Pagination is ideal to accommodate information extending beyond 1 page
- Plan spacing for areas that will have variable data (e.g. showing/hiding a gift message)
- Ideally there should be a separate packing slip design for customer vs. wholesale orders, since wholesale orders are usually larger and ship in multiple shipments
If you're not using the default MasonHub packing slip, a good one might be designed similar to this.
