A Kit, or Product Bundle, is a combination of SKUs that are sold together as one SKU. For example, a Makeup Bag is a SKU you sell that includes SKUs for a makeup bag, lipstick, brush, and nail polish. The Makeup Bag SKU is a kit.
Kits can be set up as either dynamically calculated kits or as assembled kits in MasonHub’s OMS. Review this article for more information on the differences.
Create Kits
- Create the parent SKU and each of the child SKUs in Shopify.
- For dynamic kits, the parent SKU does not need a barcode; only the child or component SKUs should have barcodes added.
- When launching a new Kit, ensure the parent SKU is not yet available on your sales channels. Because Shopify doesn't have kit functionality, it's important that the kit is fully configured in the MasonHub OMS before you begin accepting orders against it. If you are already actively selling a Kit and are transitioning to MasonHub from another 3PL, then your Kit must be configured in the MasonHub OMS before we can go live with receiving orders for the Kit SKU.
- Complete the Kit Setup Template and send it to MasonHub Support.
- After MasonHub Support confirms the kit has been set up, you can add it to your active sales channels in Shopify.
Create the child (1 & 2) and parent (3) SKUs in Shopify.
Complete the Kit Setup Template with the child (1 & 2) and parent (3) SKUs and send it to MasonHub Support before you start selling your kits.
Once your kit is set up by MasonHub Support, you will see the child SKUs (1 & 2) linked to the parent SKU (3).
Edit Kits
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before making any edits to your kit’s components, contact MasonHub Support. Editing the components of a kit can disrupt existing orders. |
