Order Tags
Shopify order tags can be used to provide MasonHub further direction on the handling of specific orders. The below table lists the common tags you might consider using. Contact your MasonHub Client Success Manager if you have any questions.
| Tag | Description | Use Case |
forcebackorder |
The order will be placed in backorder status. | If MasonHub does not have available inventory, fulfillment for the order will be rejected. However, if the forcebackorder tag is applied, the order will be accepted and placed in backorder status. This can be used to accept a backorder for a specific customer without adding inventory to your site with an oversell policy. Read more about backorders. |
do not ship |
The order will not be ingested into MasonHub's OMS or packed and shipped, only when the tag is added before checkout. |
You are creating a test order from Draft status in Shopify's backend and do not need it to be physically fulfilled. If you add the tag after the order has been created and marked as Paid in Shopify, it will get ingested into MasonHub's OMS. If you remove the tag, the order will get synced to the MasonHub OMS. |
willcall |
The shipping method will be overridden and MasonHub will await further instruction before shipping out. | Someone is coming to physically pick up the order and it won't be shipped via a carrier. E.g., client is picking up samples for a photo shoot, or pick-up will be scheduled from the wholesaler. |
mh-wholesale |
This order type will be set to wholesale and the MasonHub team will handle the order according to the previously agreed upon wholesale SOPs. | If creating wholesale orders in Shopify, rather than directly in MasonHub's OMS, then the order must be tagged as wholesale. Additionally, specific tags should be added to differentiate pack-out instructions per wholesale partner, if needed. These tags must be discussed with your Client Success Manager prior to use. |
mh-dropship |
This order type will be set to dropship and the MasonHub team will handle the order according to the previously agreed upon dropship SOPs. | If creating dropship orders in Shopify, rather than directly in MasonHub's OMS, then the order must be tagged as dropship. Additionally, specific tags should be added to differentiate pack-out instructions per partner, if needed. These tags must be discussed with your Client Success Manager prior to use. |
mh-press |
This order type will be set to press/influencer and the MasonHub team will handle the order according to the previously agreed upon SOPs. | If creating press/influencer orders in Shopify, rather than directly in MasonHub's OMS, then the order must be tagged as press. Additionally, specific tags should be added to differentiate pack-out instructions per partner, if needed. These tags must be discussed with your Client Success Manager prior to use. |
Shopify order tags are found on the bottom right of the order detail page in Shopify.
Product Tags
Shopify product tags can be used to provide MasonHub further direction on the handling of specific use cases. The below table lists the tags you might consider using. Contact your MasonHub Client Success Manager if you have any questions.
| Tag | Description | Use Case |
sync_draft |
The MasonHub app will create and update the product's SKUs in the MasonHub OMS when it's in Draft status in Shopify. (This is not needed when your product is in Active status.) | Create a SKU in the MasonHub OMS before you merchandise it on your store, so that you can create an ASN and we can receive inventory before you're ready to sell it. |
#ORMD |
This will automatically assign the product as ORM-D in MasonHub's OMS. | Products made with dangerous goods, hazardous materials (hazmat) or ORM-D (other regulated materials - domestic), like lithium batteries, perfumes, aerosol cans, or other flammable liquids, have certain restrictions and require proper documentation. Read more about shipping dangerous goods requirements. |
