MasonHub is not responsible for or equipped to manage potentially fraudulent orders in your store. Once an order is created in MasonHub's OMS, we will follow normal operating procedures to fulfill it within our SLAs.
What to Do if You Suspect Fraudulent Orders
If you suspect you have fraudulent orders that need urgent attention, contact support@masonhub.co and your Account Manager immediately. We cannot guarantee we will be able to stop fulfillment for any orders that are in process, but for a fee our team will do what we can to help cancel orders you identify as potential fraud. You can cancel any orders in the OMS yourself that are not yet in process.
Preventing Fraudulent Orders at Checkout
There are a number of businesses and applications that integrate with shopping carts to provide fraud analysis and even put suspicious orders on hold before completing payment.
Fraud Protect for Shopify Payments is fully integrated with the merchant’s store. Once signed up, merchants pay a small fee for each order protected. If an order is flagged for Fraud, it will not get marked as Paid and will not get created in MasonHub's OMS. If a chargeback occurs, Shopify covers the amount and the merchant is in the clear.
Out of the box, Shopify provides fraud analysis indicators and order notification emails if you subscribe to them. However, this will not prevent the order from getting created in MasonHub's OMS. You will need to monitor your orders and try to cancel them or reach out to support@masonhub.co and your Account Manager.
Shopify also provides support for third-party fraud apps that you can install in your store.
If you are not using Shopify, then services like Kount, Bolt, or Forter may be good options for your business.
