Why Orders Get Held Under Review
When you create an order from Draft status in Shopify—whether duplicating an existing order or creating a new one—the shipping method field is often left blank by default. MasonHub's OMS requires a shipping method to properly route and fulfill your order. Without this information, the order cannot proceed through fulfillment.

How to Add a Shipping Method to Draft Orders
Step 1: Create or Access Your Draft Order
Navigate to your draft order in Shopify Admin. If you're duplicating an order, Shopify automatically creates it in Draft status.

If your team needs to create orders with free shipping (for replacements, samples, or internal use), you have three options:
Option 1: Create an Internal-Only Free Shipping Method
Set up a "Free Shipping" option in Shopify that's only visible to staff members:
- Go to Settings > Shipping and delivery
- Create a new shipping zone or rate
- Set the price to $0.00
- Restrict visibility to staff only
- Contact MasonHub Support to map this to your preferred service level (e.g., MH Ground)
Option 2: Use Custom Shipping
When creating the draft order:
- Click "Add shipping and delivery"
- Select "Custom shipping rate"
- Enter "$0.00" as the custom rate or whatever rate you decide
- Contact MasonHub Support to map "Free Shipping" or custom rates to your preferred service level
Option 3: Apply a Shipping Discount
Create a discount code that offsets shipping charges:
- Create a discount code for 100% off shipping
- Apply it to the draft order before marking as paid
- Select your standard shipping method (the customer won't be charged due to the discount)
Training Your Team
To prevent orders from being held under review, ensure all team members who create manual orders understand this process:

Solution: Contact MasonHub Support at support@masonhub.co for a list of your currently mapped shipping methods.
Problem: Need to add a new shipping method
Solution: First add it in Shopify, then contact your Account Manager or MasonHub Support to map it in the OMS. Allow 24-48 hours for mapping before using the new method.
